This journey started because we are car enthusiasts and also because we have been eyeing the 2022+ Toyota GR86 / Subaru BRZ to add to our own fleet. The performance improvements of the 2nd generation twins was a major attractor for us. However not long after release, reports of engine problems began to surface. Like many others, we followed along the forums and the community, waiting for the manufacturer or the aftermarket to resolve the issues. 1 year go by and we saw minimal progress in the aftermarket, no signs that either Toyota or Subaru is going to do anything and Jason's engine failure in his own BRZ, we decided to tackle this problem ourselves.
